Arriving from space in 2013, the core of this completely Improvisational jazz/metal/punk/psych group warped around drummer Ben Blanton, sax player Chris Bartholomew and bassist Jay Cardinell. Matt LeGrow and Joseph Cox (guitars) along with Sami Masterson (vocals) joined in 2014. Additional members Stuart Gordon (theremin) and Alan Kanayan (drums) joined over the past several years, replacing the departing Joe and Sami. Along the way BD has evolved from a doom-jazz trio, to a fusion-metal quintet, through a spoken word dual-guitar psych maelstrom, to a disciplined focus upon the psychedelic geometries of the more recent dual-drum attack. As travelers arrive and disembark, the one constant is inconstance. Black Dominia continues to melt minds live around the DC/MD/VA area, with more recording to come. Keep your ear to the darkness....
